Capricorn Asset Management (Pty) Ltd is the leading asset management company in the Namibian capital and money market industry. The company was founded in 2006, after Bank Windhoek Ltd became increasingly aware of the fact that the Capricorn Investment Holdings group needed an asset management capability to not only manage the group companies’ own assets, but also that of its corporate and high net-worth clients.
In 2003 Bank Windhoek established a focused specialized investment department within the Treasury Division, as a first step in evolving into an independent asset management company. By July 2006 Capricorn Asset Management was officially launched as a fully fledged and licensed local and independent asset management company with specialized and well-respected consultants on board. Capricorn Asset Management is located on the 7th floor, Bank Windhoek Head Office in Windhoek.
