Santam Namibia is the country’s leading short-term insurer, commanding a market share of over 30 per cent with assets totalling more than N$200 million. Santam Ltd opened its offices in Windhoek in 1956. A subsidiary, Santam Namibia Limited, was established in 1990, to take over all insurance activities in Namibia. Santam Ltd today owns 60% of Santam Namibia whereas Bank Windhoek Holdings and Nam-mic Financial Services own 30% and 10% respectively.

Santam Namibia’s head office is located in Windhoek with branches located across Namibia in Walvis Bay, Otjiwarongo, Keetmanshoop and Oshakati.

Santam has recently extended its product offering with the launch of new products to cater for the changing and individual needs of the short-term insurance market.
